Becoming the Happy Warrior: Strategies to Boost Attorney Wellbeing

Changes in legal profession, coupled with advancing technology requiring constant connectivity, are leading to depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicide among lawyers. It has never been more important for lawyers to cultivate the skills necessary to proactively and effectively manage work issues while navigating the integration of their personal and professional lives. Stacey Dougan, a lawyer-turned-therapist developed and will explore the meaning of wellbeing in the context of the legal profession, the unique impacts substance abuse and mental health challenges, and evidence-based strategies to help lawyers manage stress, anxiety, and relationships to enhance productivity and the quality of their practice.
