Learn from Those Who Know: Jury Trial Tactics During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Presented By: DRI's Litigation Skills Committee

At some point soon, trial courts will be forced to try civil cases during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only will courts have to adopt the necessary safety protocols for trying a civil case, attorneys will have to adapt to trying a case with these safety protocols in place. DRI has two experienced trial lawyers who have now tried civil jury trials during the pandemic who can offer helpful tips and suggestions for trying cases during the pandemic. DRI board members Jeff Lowe and Matthew Keris have tried civil jury trials during the pandemic. During this webinar, the chair of DRI’s Litigation Skills Committee, Guy Hughes, will moderate a discussion on their experiences during jury selection, witness preparation and presentation, technology usage, and personal protection options during their trials. Attendees of this webinar will have the opportunity to have their questions answered about trying a case during the COVID-19 pandemic so they do not go blindly into their first jury trial during this unprecedented time. Attendees will be able to listen and learn from the shared experience of two DRI board members to ensure the best outcomes for their clients.
