With increasing anticipation on the eve of the opioid MDL trials in Ohio, we are excited to include Special Master Mr. David Cohen, who was appointed by the Court in that matter to serve in this capacity.
The Opioid Epidemic continues to make front page news with devastating stories of addiction and loss. Thousands of cases are winding their way through the Court system seeking to determine responsibility for the consequences of the epidemic. This panel discusses the insurance issues raised by these cases including a discussion of the underlying claims, legal theories asserted, and coverage decisions to date.

David R. Cohen is an experienced Federal Special Master, Mediator, and Arbitrator, having been appointed by 18 different federal judges to help resolve highly complex litigation. Honorable Dan Polster, presiding over the national federal MDL In re: National Prescription Opiate Litigation, has appointed Mr. Cohen as Special Master in that matter.
