Description

Pressented By: DRI's Medicare Secondary Payer Act Task Force

CMS has finally issued its proposed rule on civil money penalties for failing to meet Section 111 reporting obligations. Join us to learn what this means for you and your practice, including implications on industry if passed in its current form and DRI’s Comments submitted in response to the proposed rule.

Who Should Attend:

  • Attorneys and representatives of all Responsible Reporting Entities, including liability insurers, non-group health plans, and self-insured entities
  • Attorneys, claim representatives, and in-house counsel who handle cases involving claimants who are, or may soon become, Medicare recipients
  • Liability insurance company representatives responsible for section 111 reporting and for overseeing MSP compliance in resolving personal injury cases

What Will You Learn?:

  • The types of Section 111 reporting non-compliance CMS intends to assess civil money penalties
  • The provisions of the proposed rule that are problematic and why
  • How to protect against being assessed civil money penalties for Section 111 non-compliance
